| Application: | Demolition and chiselling of concrete, edging, gravel road digging, compacting and tamping, grooving, cutting, stripping roughing etc. Used for installation of of piping, wiring, sanitary facilities, machinery, water supply and drainage work, interior jobs, harbour facilities and civil engineering work. |
| Safety: | This product should not be operated unless proper training has been supplied to the person operating the equipment.Personal protection gear includes: goggels, steel-cap boots, gloves, ear plugs, dust mask, hard-hat. |
| Starting: | Press electric switch. |
| Running machine: | Do not lean on the machine( too much pressure prevents the hammer action from working effectively). Start breaking +- 50mm from edge of surface or slab, never break from the middle. Use for light concrete work, plaster tiles and bricks only (chipping). Use a proper extension cord (2,5mm thickness and not longer than 20metres). |
| Do's and Donts: | Ensure that the power source delivers between 220 and 230 volts at the end of the source bu checking with a multimeter. Ensure the machine and extension lead do not get wet. Allow a 5 minute cool off period every 15-20 minutes of use. When using machinery in dusty conditions , blow out dust on a daily basis. |

Maintanance Checklist:
a. Strip and clean dust
b. Check all bearings – replace
c. Check and clean armature
d. Check and clean field coil
e. Check and clean switch
f. Replace grease in gearbox
g. Check all o'rings on moving parts
h. Replace grease in moving parts
i. Check / replace electric cord and plug
j. Check / replace brushes
k. Check brush holders
Testing Equipment Before Hire:
The equipment must be clean and must have a service tag attached to ensure that the workshop completed the standard service before returning the asset to the floor.
The equipment must be taken to the testing station applicable where you will test the machine in front of the customer whislt demonstrating the operation of the asset to the customer.
Ensure that the required safety attire is worn before beginning the equipment test and instruction to the customer and ensure that the customer is in a safe location.
Start the equipment as per the above instruction.
Demonstrate the operation of the equipment as per the operating instructions above.
Shut the equipment down.
The customer must sign that he has recieved training.
